About our Dermatologists

A dermatologist is a family doctor for your skin. There are well over 2300 skin diseases, and it makes sense to trust your skin to a specialist who has devoted years of his life to intensive study of the skin.

When selecting a dermatologist it is especially important that you make sure that he or she is board certified. A board-certified dermatologist is especially qualified to evaluate your skin because of the testing each must undergo above and beyond what the American Medical Association requires for an MD certificate.  After completing medical school, a one year internal medicine internship, and a three year dermatology residency, your doctor must pass a rigorous board examination, ensuring he is among the most qualified and capable dermatologists in the world.
