Laser Therapy - Fine Leg Vein Removal 

Many of our patients complain of fine leg veins caused by genetic factors, hormones and pregnancy, by standing on their feet for many hours during the day, or by blood clots or phlebitis. However, our state of the art laser will remove fine leg veins (not large varicose veins) without scarring.

Is This Laser Surgery Painful?

There is only minimal discomfort since we use a cooling device. This treatment does not involve any injections, and it does not result in ulceration that saline injections may cause. You don't have to limit your activity or exercise program post laser surgery. 

How Many Sessions are Required?

Although one or two sessions may be most helpful, it may require half a dozen to get the improvement that we would like.

Does this Laser Leave Scars?

Case Study

Emily has athletic looking legs but she was embarrassed by unsightly veins. She inherited her leg veins from her mother, and they blossomed during a pregnancy. She liked outdoor sports activities but the veins did not cover with make-up. 

The staff at DLAM felt she was a good candidate for laser since she is a fair skinned Caucasian with fine leg veins (not large varicose veins). The fine veins were vaporized after four sessions. Pain was minimal, and there was no bruising, ulceration or scarring.

Before & After

Emily did not have to limit her activity or wear compression hose as is required with conventional saline injections. She did not miss any days of work. The staff recommends only regular exercise such as walking and jogging to maintain good muscle tone.
