Treatments for Face Veins and Broken Blood Vessels
(Facial Telangiectasias)

We use three state of the art lasers to remove face veins and broken blood vessels. By using the wavelength that is specifically absorbed by the red pigment, we painlessly vaporize the unwanted blood vessels without leaving a scar. Often these red veins make us look older than we really are. One session can reverse decades of photoaging. Often dilated blood vessels are caused by genetic factors, sunlight and hormones. You would benefit from using a hat and sunscreen in the future to prevent further dilated blood vessels. Remember, the laser light is quite safe since it is not x-ray or ultraviolet.

Sue grew up in southern California. She was a 'sun-person', and she spent many hours at the beach. As the decades went by, she noticed many spider veins (telangiectasias) developing on her face. No creams would melt them away, and she was not a make-up person. Sunscreens were not very good back then, and people just didn't know to use them. Was her skin damaged irreversibly?

The doctors and staff at DLAM used modern lasers to eradicate these unsightly telangiectasias. There was marked improvement. No oral or topical anesthesia was used, and all sessions were done on an outpatient basis. There was no post-op bruising, and the patient missed no days of work as the result of treatment.

Before & After

To maintain the improvement, the staff at DLAM recommends a common sense approach. Sue will enjoy her active lifestyle, but she will protect her skin when outdoors. She will wear a hat with a brim, and use a sunscreen with SPF of 30 or higher.
