Skin Treatments - Deeper peels

With deeper wrinkle lines and more noticeable liver spots, a 35% trichloracetic acid peel is for you.  There is more healing required with this treatment compared with the 'lunch peel.' 

We will have you gently wash your face and then we will prepare your skin with rubbing alcohol. We will then pre-treat with a Jessner's peel. The 35% peel will then be applied. The stinging and burning resolves within the space of minutes. We would insist that you take the next week off with a weekend on either side. You will want to avoid excessive sun exposure while your skin is healing. Often marked improvement with wrinkles and photoaging can be obtained in a single outpatient visit with this technique. 

This is part of a comprehensive skin care regimen that will include hats, sunscreens, alpha hydroxy creams in the morning and gentle vitamin A creams at night.
